Narrative:

Air carrier X descended to FL290, appeared to be passing south of air carrier Y FL310. After realizing traffic situation air carrier Y was turned to 360 degree heading, air carrier X turned to 180 degree heading. Separation was lost. A lot of personal items affected me today. I considered using sick leave due to the fact I felt incapacitated to perform ATC duties, but, due to the previous attempt to issue a facility-wide sick leave usage letter, I felt compelled to work anyway.
