Narrative:

Tower cleared me to land on runway 34. Then tower cleared an small transport into position and hold on runway 2R. Then tower cleared small transport for takeoff. I immediately questioned the tower about separation. Tower insisted it would be alright. I refused the clearance to land and stated I was going around. Tower then advised me to initiate go around. I missed the small transport by about 250 ft vertical and 300 ft horizontal at the intersection of runway 2R and runway 34. I have had several discussions with the tower supervisor regarding the controller's mistake on this incident. I'm submitting this report just to cover any unforeseen repercussion by FAA even though I believe I am not at all at fault or the subject of any investigation.
