Narrative:

Flight was switched from approach control to tower frequency 124.15. Immediate voice traffic was heard. The tower controller was talking non-stop without waiting for replies. When aircraft didn't answer or couldn't answer, he became obnoxiously irritable. A flight crew countered a 'slow down and we will try to comply.' the conversation went downhill from there. I called and spoke to the tower chief, however, the final word, 'this is dfw and we need to move traffic.' this situation has become more and more prevalent in the last few months. Communication is a 2-WAY street, if it turns into a 1-WAY street, we are no longer communicating. In a heavy traffic area such as dfw, the door is open for disaster. I feel that the dfw controllers are asked to do more than is manageable in a safe manner.

Title: RPTR ALLEGES THAT NON-STOP XMISSIONS BY TWR MAKE FOR UNSAFE OPS.

Narrative: FLT WAS SWITCHED FROM APCH CTL TO TWR FREQ 124.15. IMMEDIATE VOICE TFC WAS HEARD. THE TWR CTLR WAS TALKING NON-STOP WITHOUT WAITING FOR REPLIES. WHEN ACFT DIDN'T ANSWER OR COULDN'T ANSWER, HE BECAME OBNOXIOUSLY IRRITABLE. A FLC COUNTERED A 'SLOW DOWN AND WE WILL TRY TO COMPLY.' THE CONVERSATION WENT DOWNHILL FROM THERE. I CALLED AND SPOKE TO THE TWR CHIEF, HOWEVER, THE FINAL WORD, 'THIS IS DFW AND WE NEED TO MOVE TFC.' THIS SIT HAS BECOME MORE AND MORE PREVALENT IN THE LAST FEW MONTHS. COM IS A 2-WAY STREET, IF IT TURNS INTO A 1-WAY STREET, WE ARE NO LONGER COMMUNICATING. IN A HVY TFC AREA SUCH AS DFW, THE DOOR IS OPEN FOR DISASTER. I FEEL THAT THE DFW CTLRS ARE ASKED TO DO MORE THAN IS MANAGEABLE IN A SAFE MANNER.
