Narrative:

On descent into dfw were leveled at 17000 ft by approach control for VFR traffic at 16500. While IMC, a climb RA was received on TCASII. Climb was initiated and RA ceased at 18000. Broke out of clouds and saw conflict aircraft below us. Debriefed with dfw approach control.
