Narrative:

Air carrier X had just cleared runway 25R at high speed 42, where I switched to ground, requested and received clearance to taxi to our gate. Before I commenced taxi, I looked to my left and saw an medium large transport taxiing eastbound on taxiway J near intersection 47, at a high rate of speed. Rather than commence taxi and cut him off, I elected to hold my position as he rapidly approached. His right wingtip just barely cleared our windshield and subsequently struck our right propeller. I shut the engine down, and confirming that it was secure with no fire, elected to taxi to the gate. I feel this situation would have been prevented if medium large transport had yielded or if ground control had instructed medium large transport to yield after clearing us to taxi to the gate.

Title: MLG HAD GND COLLISION WITH ACR X WHILE TAXIING.

Narrative: ACR X HAD JUST CLRED RWY 25R AT HIGH SPD 42, WHERE I SWITCHED TO GND, REQUESTED AND RECEIVED CLRNC TO TAXI TO OUR GATE. BEFORE I COMMENCED TAXI, I LOOKED TO MY L AND SAW AN MLG TAXIING EBOUND ON TXWY J NEAR INTXN 47, AT A HIGH RATE OF SPD. RATHER THAN COMMENCE TAXI AND CUT HIM OFF, I ELECTED TO HOLD MY POS AS HE RAPIDLY APCHED. HIS R WINGTIP JUST BARELY CLRED OUR WINDSHIELD AND SUBSEQUENTLY STRUCK OUR R PROP. I SHUT THE ENG DOWN, AND CONFIRMING THAT IT WAS SECURE WITH NO FIRE, ELECTED TO TAXI TO THE GATE. I FEEL THIS SIT WOULD HAVE BEEN PREVENTED IF MLG HAD YIELDED OR IF GND CTL HAD INSTRUCTED MLG TO YIELD AFTER CLRING US TO TAXI TO THE GATE.
