Narrative:

United states air force bmb was in military training route ir- 160 in the vicinity of coushatta, la, when he spotted an unknown helicopter at the same altitude of 800 ft. The bmb had to immediately pull up to avoid the aircraft by 100 ft. While in an instrument training route, the aircraft are not in radar contact and are on tactical frequency, so, if we could have seen the VFR traffic, there would have not been the means to timely inform the pilot of the military aircraft of the possible traffic. The incident occurred at AM16 local, and this facility was not aware of the incident until AM40 when the bmb exited the ir route and wanted to pick up his IFR flight plan.
