Narrative:
On taxi out, APU bleed valve would not close. Reference to pilot operating manual and flight operations manual along with MEL led crew to decision to continue flight to destination. Discussed with maintenance and dispatch on radio, but area very gray -- not black and white. Need better guidelines.

Narrative: ON TAXI OUT, APU BLEED VALVE WOULD NOT CLOSE. REF TO PLT OPERATING MANUAL AND FLT OPS MANUAL ALONG WITH MEL LED CREW TO DECISION TO CONTINUE FLT TO DEST. DISCUSSED WITH MAINT AND DISPATCH ON RADIO, BUT AREA VERY GRAY -- NOT BLACK AND WHITE. NEED BETTER GUIDELINES.
