Narrative:

My wife and I own a home on the eastpoint of middle bass island. We were in our yard on the afternoon of jul/xx/93, when an orange and white, low winged aircraft buzzed less than 50 ft over the water connecting to our property. The plane then circled out over the lake and turned inland again. It buzzed just over our treeline (trees are approximately 50 ft in ht) which indicates that the plane was approximately 100 ft or less, passing over our property, us, and several neighbor friends who had gathered in our yard. All of us were angry when we realized how close aircraft was to us. He was so close you could clearly make out his face, along with his wife, who was also in the plane. A few yrs ago, this same person buzzed my daughter and wife while they were sunbathing on rafts out in the lake. He buzzed them so close they both rolled off the rafts in panic! At that time I confronted him and told him to never buzz our property or anyone on the water again or I would report him. He apparently felt my threat was in vane. Now, 2 yrs later, he repeats this behavior, and sir, this is intolerable! This man may have extreme capabilities of judging airspace as he has buzzed the lake coming as close as 20 ft off the water, however, we feel that someday his luck will run out. When I approached this man on jul/xx/93, he seemed very nervous when I told him I was going to make a report. I suspect perhaps other citations have been filed.

Title: GND OBSERVER RPTED A LOW FLYING SMA SEL ACFT OVER HIS HOUSE.

Narrative: MY WIFE AND I OWN A HOME ON THE EASTPOINT OF MIDDLE BASS ISLAND. WE WERE IN OUR YARD ON THE AFTERNOON OF JUL/XX/93, WHEN AN ORANGE AND WHITE, LOW WINGED ACFT BUZZED LESS THAN 50 FT OVER THE WATER CONNECTING TO OUR PROPERTY. THE PLANE THEN CIRCLED OUT OVER THE LAKE AND TURNED INLAND AGAIN. IT BUZZED JUST OVER OUR TREELINE (TREES ARE APPROX 50 FT IN HT) WHICH INDICATES THAT THE PLANE WAS APPROX 100 FT OR LESS, PASSING OVER OUR PROPERTY, US, AND SEVERAL NEIGHBOR FRIENDS WHO HAD GATHERED IN OUR YARD. ALL OF US WERE ANGRY WHEN WE REALIZED HOW CLOSE ACFT WAS TO US. HE WAS SO CLOSE YOU COULD CLEARLY MAKE OUT HIS FACE, ALONG WITH HIS WIFE, WHO WAS ALSO IN THE PLANE. A FEW YRS AGO, THIS SAME PERSON BUZZED MY DAUGHTER AND WIFE WHILE THEY WERE SUNBATHING ON RAFTS OUT IN THE LAKE. HE BUZZED THEM SO CLOSE THEY BOTH ROLLED OFF THE RAFTS IN PANIC! AT THAT TIME I CONFRONTED HIM AND TOLD HIM TO NEVER BUZZ OUR PROPERTY OR ANYONE ON THE WATER AGAIN OR I WOULD RPT HIM. HE APPARENTLY FELT MY THREAT WAS IN VANE. NOW, 2 YRS LATER, HE REPEATS THIS BEHAVIOR, AND SIR, THIS IS INTOLERABLE! THIS MAN MAY HAVE EXTREME CAPABILITIES OF JUDGING AIRSPACE AS HE HAS BUZZED THE LAKE COMING AS CLOSE AS 20 FT OFF THE WATER, HOWEVER, WE FEEL THAT SOMEDAY HIS LUCK WILL RUN OUT. WHEN I APCHED THIS MAN ON JUL/XX/93, HE SEEMED VERY NERVOUS WHEN I TOLD HIM I WAS GOING TO MAKE A RPT. I SUSPECT PERHAPS OTHER CITATIONS HAVE BEEN FILED.
