Narrative:

In contact with atl approach (121.0) advised that I had field in sight (fty). I actually misidented dobbins AFB as fty. I turned toward dobbins to fly visual approach when approach advised, cleared for the visual approach to fty. I was then advised to contact county tower, which I did. I flew to approximately 4 mi from dobbins when I realized that I had the wrong airport. I then advised county tower and turned toward fty. Flight proceeded normally following this. I was on an IFR flight plan which was active the entire time of incident.
