Narrative:

Busy arrival period. Thought I had descended air carrier X to 9000 ft. Descended air carrier Y to 10000. Conflict alert showed air carrier Y at 10500 and air carrier X at 10000. Air carrier Y issued a turn and got visual with air carrier X. Was not using strip-marking for altitudes because too busy to even look for the strips. Asked for assistance in coordination for another problem area in the northwestern area of airspace and attention diverted from southeast area. Position should have been split earlier (arrival position combined).
