Narrative:

I completed paper work which consisted of log entry for oil service requested by flight crew to #3 engine oil. Oil was svced to full by another mechanic, however, he was reassigned to another aircraft before completing log entry. At departure time I completed maintenance sign off in logbook. The oil tank cap apparently was not latched in the closed position. Contributing factor: reassigning mechanic to another job before completion of current job. Supplemental information from acn 245562: upon aircraft arrival in czm, #3 engine oil quantity below 2 gallons and oil cap found in cowling. Engine was not shut down and no damage done.
