Narrative:

Hand propped aircraft. Aircraft was chocked, however, brakes were not set properly. After engine started, aircraft proceeded across taxiway and into grass. It then pitched nose up and hit propeller on ground. Aircraft stopped nose up on other side of closed runway. Minor damage to airframe, propeller damaged. Aircraft is a pusher. In retrospect, an additional person should have been present.

Title: RUNAWAY ACFT ON HAND PROP START HITS PROP AFTER XING CLOSED RWY. ACFT DAMAGED.

Narrative: HAND PROPPED ACFT. ACFT WAS CHOCKED, HOWEVER, BRAKES WERE NOT SET PROPERLY. AFTER ENG STARTED, ACFT PROCEEDED ACROSS TXWY AND INTO GRASS. IT THEN PITCHED NOSE UP AND HIT PROP ON GND. ACFT STOPPED NOSE UP ON OTHER SIDE OF CLOSED RWY. MINOR DAMAGE TO AIRFRAME, PROP DAMAGED. ACFT IS A PUSHER. IN RETROSPECT, AN ADDITIONAL PERSON SHOULD HAVE BEEN PRESENT.
