Narrative:

I am suffering from a sinus infection. I am taking medication for this infection and tylenol for pain relief. This is the second time in a month that I have flown sick. The reason for this is our company's attendance policy. This policy lumps sick time and tardiness together for total occurrences. In my case, I have 5 total occurrences in 1 yr. Even though I have plenty of time in my sick bank I cannot use any of my sick leave. The reason for this is at 5 occurrences your job is in jeopardy. If I call in sick prior to sep/93 I am subject to termination. What a great feeling! I am not looking for sympathy. Simply making a statement of fact. This situation is common at smaller carriers. I do not like being forced to violate the FARS because of a company policy.

Title: COMMUTER CAPT FLIES SCHEDULES WHILE ILL WITH A SINUS INFECTION AND TAKING PRESCRIPTION MEDICINES. VIOLATION OF FARS. FLC BEHAVIOR ILLNESS.

Narrative: I AM SUFFERING FROM A SINUS INFECTION. I AM TAKING MEDICATION FOR THIS INFECTION AND TYLENOL FOR PAIN RELIEF. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME IN A MONTH THAT I HAVE FLOWN SICK. THE REASON FOR THIS IS OUR COMPANY'S ATTENDANCE POLICY. THIS POLICY LUMPS SICK TIME AND TARDINESS TOGETHER FOR TOTAL OCCURRENCES. IN MY CASE, I HAVE 5 TOTAL OCCURRENCES IN 1 YR. EVEN THOUGH I HAVE PLENTY OF TIME IN MY SICK BANK I CANNOT USE ANY OF MY SICK LEAVE. THE REASON FOR THIS IS AT 5 OCCURRENCES YOUR JOB IS IN JEOPARDY. IF I CALL IN SICK PRIOR TO SEP/93 I AM SUBJECT TO TERMINATION. WHAT A GREAT FEELING! I AM NOT LOOKING FOR SYMPATHY. SIMPLY MAKING A STATEMENT OF FACT. THIS SIT IS COMMON AT SMALLER CARRIERS.
