Narrative:

Takeoff rejected at 100 ft due altitude, heading reporting system (ahrs) failure of copilot's instruments. Ahrs reset according to procedure. Successful takeoff 20 mins later. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: reporter states the abbreviation ahrs is for altitude, heading reporting system, similar to an irt. The 2 screens on first officer side failed. If he had not been PF, they would not have aborted. This equipment is prone to this problem of cutting off on taxi or at the gate. They have never had it occur on takeoff before. Equipment is very sensitive to metal and reacts if several baggage carts are near the aircraft. SOP is to merely reset the circuit breakers. Company is in the process of replacing this equipment.
