Narrative:

Flight was cleared for takeoff on manchester runway 24, right to 290 degrees, climb to 3000 ft. After takeoff, gear was retracted. At 400 AGL, I called for climb power, climb check and started a right turn to 290 degrees. In the turn, an small aircraft slid into view in my window panel, opposite direction. We had not been warned of any traffic. I would hit the aircraft without immediate action. I rolled hard left to about a 40 degree bank and nosed up about 20-23 degrees. We missed the small aircraft a few hundred ft. After I sighted the aircraft and began a hard roll, the tower operator asked the small aircraft, 'do you have the opposite traffic in sight?' the reply was, 'I sure do.' then the tower said, ' 'I have you both in sight.' I filed a report with my company and notified the mht tower supervisor of the incident. No one was hurt. In fact, I managed to be smooth enough that the customers did not complain about any problems with the flight.
