Narrative:

Landed at clarksburg, wv, to pick up a person dropping his airplane off. After landing the tower operator was talking to another aircraft already on the ground. I couldn't talk to him because of this so I stopped and turned around on the runway. The tower gave me hell for not getting authorization for the 180 degree turn, and starting to back taxi. He should have told me what to do and then talked to the other aircraft on the ground, but he may not see it that way and that's why I'm sending in this report.
