Narrative:

While being vectored for approach a TCASII RA warning went off advising us to climb to avoid another aircraft. We initiated the climb and avoided aircraft by at least 1500 ft. Prior to the warning we received numerous heading changes by approach control. We changed frequencys between the 2 approach controls many times. We were also required to request some deviation during the time preceding the warning due to thunderstorms.
