Narrative:

Crew scheduling called me while I was on an overnight at XA5O am to advise that the captain and I were being drug tested at random. They said we should fly 5 legs and report for drug testing at XB00 hours at lax. Company management was notified by me that this was a violation of the 2-HR notification to show rule and said that we should continue the trip and do as we were told. Supplemental information from acn 242231: when crew questioned company officials they were assured that the time between notification and report, and continued flight was legal and to continue as instructed.
