Narrative:

Upon completion of landing as I was cleaning up the aircraft to execute a touch-and-go, I inadvertently pulled the gear handle up causing the nose gear to retract. The nose lowered to the pavement destroying the propeller. I do not remember touching the gear handle and was completely shocked when the nose hit the ground. But I must have, because the handle was in the up position when we stopped. I believe the cause of the accident was a rush to clean up the aircraft. The best solution for the occurrence would be to limit or cease touch-and-go operations in complex aircraft, at least bringing the aircraft to a stop before 'cleaning it up.' there was not any time to take any corrective measures at the time of occurrence. It happened so fast.

Title: CFI CANDIDATE PRACTICING TOUCH AND GO LNDGS RETRACTS GEAR INSTEAD OF FLAPS.

Narrative: UPON COMPLETION OF LNDG AS I WAS CLEANING UP THE ACFT TO EXECUTE A TOUCH-AND-GO, I INADVERTENTLY PULLED THE GEAR HANDLE UP CAUSING THE NOSE GEAR TO RETRACT. THE NOSE LOWERED TO THE PAVEMENT DESTROYING THE PROP. I DO NOT REMEMBER TOUCHING THE GEAR HANDLE AND WAS COMPLETELY SHOCKED WHEN THE NOSE HIT THE GND. BUT I MUST HAVE, BECAUSE THE HANDLE WAS IN THE UP POS WHEN WE STOPPED. I BELIEVE THE CAUSE OF THE ACCIDENT WAS A RUSH TO CLEAN UP THE ACFT. THE BEST SOLUTION FOR THE OCCURRENCE WOULD BE TO LIMIT OR CEASE TOUCH-AND-GO OPS IN COMPLEX ACFT, AT LEAST BRINGING THE ACFT TO A STOP BEFORE 'CLEANING IT UP.' THERE WAS NOT ANY TIME TO TAKE ANY CORRECTIVE MEASURES AT THE TIME OF OCCURRENCE. IT HAPPENED SO FAST.
