Narrative:

Before takeoff PIC requested immediate 180 degree turn to return to new jersey. Controller approved request. After takeoff and turn with a STOL equipped aircraft, the controller stated 'you made that turn awfully close.' I replied 'you approved it.' no comment was heard.

Narrative: BEFORE TKOF PIC REQUESTED IMMEDIATE 180 DEG TURN TO RETURN TO NEW JERSEY. CTLR APPROVED REQUEST. AFTER TKOF AND TURN WITH A STOL EQUIPPED ACFT, THE CTLR STATED 'YOU MADE THAT TURN AWFULLY CLOSE.' I REPLIED 'YOU APPROVED IT.' NO COMMENT WAS HEARD.
