Narrative:

Taxiing for departure in hoonah, I made my intentions known on 122.20. Before taking the active runway 5, I announced that I was taxiing onto the runway on 122.20. As soon as I got on the runway an small aircraft Y flew right over my head, having to go around because I taxied out in front of him while he was on short final. I did not hear him make any announcement nor did I see him on final. My radios were set properly and worked fine as did his, yet I didn't hear him. There was a breakdown in communications somewhere but I'm not sure where. I was able to communicate fine with the Y pilot after the incident. The Y pilot was not upset as he had plenty of time to go around. This whole thing really confused me because I felt I did everything right. It really opened my eyes to how easy an accident could have happened.
