Narrative:

On departure from hou runway 22 we had an initial clearance right turn 040 degrees, climb to 4000 ft. Departure control gave us right turn 040 degrees, deviate right as necessary for WX on initial contact. We continued our turn to 090 degrees. In the turn we were cleared to 15000 ft. As we approached a gap in the clouds departure control requested a turn to 360 degrees. We turned to 360 degrees and were now clear of clouds. Climbing through 10500 ft we received a TCASII TA at our 8-9 O'clock position, 2400 ft below us, climbing. The TA was followed promptly by an RA directing a 2000-3000 FPM descent. This was complied with by 10800 ft with other aircraft not in sight. At 10200 ft we were advised by TCASII 'clear of conflict.' air carrier Y asked departure control 'how close was that aircraft.' hou departure said 1 mi. Air carrier Y said 'they looked closer than that.' we advised departure control that we had followed a TCASII RA. Air carrier Y did the same. We never saw the air carrier Y medium large transport. They passed behind us.

Title: 2 ACR JETS UNDER CTL OF DEP CTLR COME INTO CONFLICT WHICH IS RESOLVED BY TCASII.

Narrative: ON DEP FROM HOU RWY 22 WE HAD AN INITIAL CLRNC R TURN 040 DEGS, CLB TO 4000 FT. DEP CTL GAVE US R TURN 040 DEGS, DEVIATE R AS NECESSARY FOR WX ON INITIAL CONTACT. WE CONTINUED OUR TURN TO 090 DEGS. IN THE TURN WE WERE CLRED TO 15000 FT. AS WE APCHED A GAP IN THE CLOUDS DEP CTL REQUESTED A TURN TO 360 DEGS. WE TURNED TO 360 DEGS AND WERE NOW CLR OF CLOUDS. CLBING THROUGH 10500 FT WE RECEIVED A TCASII TA AT OUR 8-9 O'CLOCK POS, 2400 FT BELOW US, CLBING. THE TA WAS FOLLOWED PROMPTLY BY AN RA DIRECTING A 2000-3000 FPM DSCNT. THIS WAS COMPLIED WITH BY 10800 FT WITH OTHER ACFT NOT IN SIGHT. AT 10200 FT WE WERE ADVISED BY TCASII 'CLR OF CONFLICT.' ACR Y ASKED DEP CTL 'HOW CLOSE WAS THAT ACFT.' HOU DEP SAID 1 MI. ACR Y SAID 'THEY LOOKED CLOSER THAN THAT.' WE ADVISED DEP CTL THAT WE HAD FOLLOWED A TCASII RA. ACR Y DID THE SAME. WE NEVER SAW THE ACR Y MLG. THEY PASSED BEHIND US.
