Runway and taxiway lights are out at many portions of dtw. You must issue a safety alert advisory before another accident happens at detroit. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: reporting pilot just wants us to know that dtw is no better than it ever was. Is an accident waiting to happen (again). He now has the FAA safety hotline number to lay this on them as well.

Title: A HIGHLY PLACED ACR CAPT RPTED THAT DTW HAS SEVERAL TXWY LIGHTS OUT AND, THAT IN HIS OPINION, ANOTHER SERIOUS INCIDENT COULD HAPPEN.

Narrative: RWY AND TXWY LIGHTS ARE OUT AT MANY PORTIONS OF DTW. YOU MUST ISSUE A SAFETY ALERT ADVISORY BEFORE ANOTHER ACCIDENT HAPPENS AT DETROIT. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: RPTING PLT JUST WANTS US TO KNOW THAT DTW IS NO BETTER THAN IT EVER WAS. IS AN ACCIDENT WAITING TO HAPPEN (AGAIN). HE NOW HAS THE FAA SAFETY HOTLINE NUMBER TO LAY THIS ON THEM AS WELL.
