Narrative:

After a widebody transport Y landed we were cleared into position and hold operating as xyz. We heard air carrier Z was cleared to land and after waiting for longer than we liked, we asked the controller (in case transmission was blocked) if we were cleared for takeoff. The controller said the widebody transport Y missed his turnoff and to taxi off the runway. Made a hard left to exit runway and noticed air carrier Z was on very short final and he did not realize until we were sideways to runway that we were in position for takeoff until I heard him ask if they were cleared to land. I felt air carrier Z should have executed a go around which he didn't. I really felt he might hit our tail as we were exiting. The conditions that night were everyone was having to get deiced and pressed for their time limits.

Title: POTENTIAL CONFLICT BTWN TFC HOLDING IN POS AND LNDG TFC.

Narrative: AFTER A WDB Y LANDED WE WERE CLRED INTO POS AND HOLD OPERATING AS XYZ. WE HEARD ACR Z WAS CLRED TO LAND AND AFTER WAITING FOR LONGER THAN WE LIKED, WE ASKED THE CTLR (IN CASE XMISSION WAS BLOCKED) IF WE WERE CLRED FOR TKOF. THE CTLR SAID THE WDB Y MISSED HIS TURNOFF AND TO TAXI OFF THE RWY. MADE A HARD L TO EXIT RWY AND NOTICED ACR Z WAS ON VERY SHORT FINAL AND HE DID NOT REALIZE UNTIL WE WERE SIDEWAYS TO RWY THAT WE WERE IN POS FOR TKOF UNTIL I HEARD HIM ASK IF THEY WERE CLRED TO LAND. I FELT ACR Z SHOULD HAVE EXECUTED A GAR WHICH HE DIDN'T. I REALLY FELT HE MIGHT HIT OUR TAIL AS WE WERE EXITING. THE CONDITIONS THAT NIGHT WERE EVERYONE WAS HAVING TO GET DEICED AND PRESSED FOR THEIR TIME LIMITS.
