Narrative:

Unrecoverable loss to #1 AC bus in flight resulting in total loss of captain's instruments and #1 INS. First officer and so wanted to return to guam as we were only 30-45 mins out. The captain, citing economic reasons, elected to continue the 3 hour flight to tokyo on 1 INS and only first officer instruments, over first officer's verbal objections. This captain, who verbally rebukes the principals of cockpit crew management, told the first officer not to touch the plane while he attempted to fly the aircraft without instruments (not responding to first officer's request for emergency power) and yell at the so. In tokyo it was discovered the #1 INS emergency battery was depicted (a no-go item) and the captain wanted to take the flight back to guam despite first officer's and so's objection. Captain told station manager it was first officer's and so's fault flight was delayed as we would not take the aircraft in this condition.
