Narrative:
In sum: captain coming down with a virus, alone in the cockpit, started 1 engine and, while the engine was still running, left the cockpit to search for the aircraft logbook which was missing. A running aircraft was left unattended. A check pilot saw the event and upbraided the pilot.

Narrative: IN SUM: CAPT COMING DOWN WITH A VIRUS, ALONE IN THE COCKPIT, STARTED 1 ENG AND, WHILE THE ENG WAS STILL RUNNING, LEFT THE COCKPIT TO SEARCH FOR THE ACFT LOGBOOK WHICH WAS MISSING. A RUNNING ACFT WAS LEFT UNATTENDED. A CHK PLT SAW THE EVENT AND UPBRAIDED THE PLT.
