I advised tower at palo alto that I was taking off and landing runway 30 at my own risk, after being told by tower that runway was closed. After landing I was informed that my actions were in violation of far 91.129(H) by a friend.

Narrative: I ADVISED TWR AT PALO ALTO THAT I WAS TAKING OFF AND LNDG RWY 30 AT MY OWN RISK, AFTER BEING TOLD BY TWR THAT RWY WAS CLOSED. AFTER LNDG I WAS INFORMED THAT MY ACTIONS WERE IN VIOLATION OF FAR 91.129(H) BY A FRIEND.
