Narrative:

Was cleared for localizer back course runway at jan. Executed approach and landed. Found out later that aircraft was not authorized for that type of approach. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: rather than shooting a raw data approach, the flight crew used navigation control and constructed the approach using coordinates. This type of approach is not approved for this type aircraft.

Narrative: WAS CLRED FOR LOC BACK COURSE RWY AT JAN. EXECUTED APCH AND LANDED. FOUND OUT LATER THAT ACFT WAS NOT AUTHORIZED FOR THAT TYPE OF APCH. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: RATHER THAN SHOOTING A RAW DATA APCH, THE FLC USED NAV CTL AND CONSTRUCTED THE APCH USING COORDINATES. THIS TYPE OF APCH IS NOT APPROVED FOR THIS TYPE ACFT.
