Narrative:

Extended landing gear. No down indication on left main gear. Executed go around, asked tower to check gear visually. ATC advises normal gear. Conducted checklist for no gear indication. We learned that backup indicators showed all 3 gear normal. Flight attendant reported normal gear. Declared emergency and returned for landing. Landing, rollout, and taxi normal. Maintenance, on inspection, confirmed light bulbs inoperative in left main gear indicator.
