Narrative:

Upon completion of pairing, on feb/tue/93, XY00 pm, I was asked by an FAA employee for a visual inspection of my in-flight manual. I was confident that my manual was up-to- date as it has been on prior inspections. All of my alerts were inserted and correct. However, my revision 23 was not. I was told by the FAA employee that I could be penalized. I immediately proceeded to the check-in desk for the revision 23 and immediate insertion into the manual. I also informed my supervisor. Supplemental information from acn 233488: was met at gate by 1 female wearing company identify and 1 male wearing airport identify. Was asked to show manual. Female determined that although my revision #23 was complete, it was not inserted properly. Indicated I would receive a letter.
