Narrative:

En route from slc to mem at FL330 and mach .80, severe turbulence was encountered 35 NM northwest of the denver VOR. The autoplt was kicked off (involuntary disconnection) by the turbulence. Altdevs were from 33600 ft to 32500 ft MSL. Airspds were from .95 mach to .76 mach. Time duration of encounter, 5 mins. The aircraft throttles were placed at idle and the speed brakes were fully deployed. The aircraft was rerted north of the flight plan to avoid reported turbulence but to no avail.
