Narrative:

Level at FL350 cabin pressure exceeded 10000 ft triggering a level 2 alert (triple chime). We began an emergency descent and informed ZDC of our problem, declaring an emergency. Complied with EFIS checklist procedure for cabin pressurization to no avail. Neither automatic nor manual cabin pressurization had any effect. The cabin got up to approximately 15000 ft. The depressurization was slow, not a rapid decompression. Upon reaching 10000 ft, the cabin seemed to descend normally (at 400 FPM) with automatic system selected. Power levels had no effect on rate of cabin. Upon leaving 10000 ft for our divert to rdu, cabin pressurization fluctuated from minus 2000 FPM to plus 2000. Once again, neither manual or automatic had any effect. Diverted to rdu. Normal landing and approach. No emergency equipment requested.

Title: ACR MLG LOSS OF CABIN PRESSURE MANDATES EMER DECLARED DSCNT AND DIVERSION TO ALTERNATE ARPT.

Narrative: LEVEL AT FL350 CABIN PRESSURE EXCEEDED 10000 FT TRIGGERING A LEVEL 2 ALERT (TRIPLE CHIME). WE BEGAN AN EMER DSCNT AND INFORMED ZDC OF OUR PROB, DECLARING AN EMER. COMPLIED WITH EFIS CHKLIST PROC FOR CABIN PRESSURIZATION TO NO AVAIL. NEITHER AUTOMATIC NOR MANUAL CABIN PRESSURIZATION HAD ANY EFFECT. THE CABIN GOT UP TO APPROX 15000 FT. THE DEPRESSURIZATION WAS SLOW, NOT A RAPID DECOMPRESSION. UPON REACHING 10000 FT, THE CABIN SEEMED TO DSND NORMALLY (AT 400 FPM) WITH AUTO SYS SELECTED. PWR LEVELS HAD NO EFFECT ON RATE OF CABIN. UPON LEAVING 10000 FT FOR OUR DIVERT TO RDU, CABIN PRESSURIZATION FLUCTUATED FROM MINUS 2000 FPM TO PLUS 2000. ONCE AGAIN, NEITHER MANUAL OR AUTOMATIC HAD ANY EFFECT. DIVERTED TO RDU. NORMAL LNDG AND APCH. NO EMER EQUIP REQUESTED.
