Narrative:

I received aircraft from the previous captain who related to me that on his first leg in aircraft between cho and bwi that at approximately 180 KIAS the aircraft began to shake. The crew split the controls and found the vibration to be coming from the first officer's control wheel. Reconnected the controls and wrote it up in the maintenance log. Maintenance signed it off as an 'information write up' and did nothing else of corrective action. I don't feel that maintenance control has the authority/authorized to sign a log book write up off as 'information write up', that is the responsibility of the person making log book entry and feel that I flew an aircraft that was not sufficiently cleared.
