Narrative:

We cleared runway 26R. Changing to ground frequency, we hadn't contacted ground yet, crossed onto the parallel taxiway when ground came over and told us to give way to an small aircraft. By that time the small aircraft had stopped and the first officer had just seen the plane. The captain was doing the driving, the flight engineer was doing the after landing check and the first officer was doing radio changes. Due to the closeness of the small aircraft, the captain had a tough time seeing the smaller plane from the left side since the small aircraft was approaching from the right. We had just exited the runway on a high speed taxiway so our taxi speed was still high. It would have helped our planning if tower could have given us a heads up to the traffic on the parallel, maybe we wouldn't have taken that taxiway or could have slowed up quickly in order to smoothly stop by the parallel.

Title: LGT CLRING LNDG RWY HAS A CLOSE CONFLICT WITH AN SMA TAXIING WITH CLRNC ON THE PARALLEL TXWY.

Narrative: WE CLRED RWY 26R. CHANGING TO GND FREQ, WE HADN'T CONTACTED GND YET, CROSSED ONTO THE PARALLEL TXWY WHEN GND CAME OVER AND TOLD US TO GIVE WAY TO AN SMA. BY THAT TIME THE SMA HAD STOPPED AND THE FO HAD JUST SEEN THE PLANE. THE CAPT WAS DOING THE DRIVING, THE FE WAS DOING THE AFTER LNDG CHK AND THE FO WAS DOING RADIO CHANGES. DUE TO THE CLOSENESS OF THE SMA, THE CAPT HAD A TOUGH TIME SEEING THE SMALLER PLANE FROM THE L SIDE SINCE THE SMA WAS APCHING FROM THE R. WE HAD JUST EXITED THE RWY ON A HIGH SPD TXWY SO OUR TAXI SPD WAS STILL HIGH. IT WOULD HAVE HELPED OUR PLANNING IF TWR COULD HAVE GIVEN US A HEADS UP TO THE TFC ON THE PARALLEL, MAYBE WE WOULDN'T HAVE TAKEN THAT TXWY OR COULD HAVE SLOWED UP QUICKLY IN ORDER TO SMOOTHLY STOP BY THE PARALLEL.
