Narrative:

During the takeoff roll, overheard the tower instructing another aircraft to stop short of our runway twice, made me think that the other aircraft was not going to stop. Initiated an abort at the same time the tower asked us to abort the takeoff. Came to a complete stop well before the other aircraft that had stopped short of the runway. There was no conflict with the other aircraft, but served as a reminder to be more aware of the other ATC communication around us. I think ATC did a very good job by averting a possible conflict.
