Narrative:

En route pit to sfo via bam llc, fmg, swr, sac, risti 2 sfo got rerted llc direct eni, pye, golden gate arrival. Due to WX at sfo and smf alternate could not and would not accept the rerte adding 145 NM and 3500 pounds additional fuel burn. Would have arrived at sfo with 25 mins fuel and no fuel for alternate. Oak center said 'do it anyway.' we had a good knock down drag out fight about it. I didn't have to declare a fuel emergency since I finally got someone in center to understand that flow control doesn't come before fuel management, and all tanks full out of pit doesn't mean unlimited range. You should not have to use arinc phone patch to oak center flow control outside line to get the sectors attention either. Who's in charge of this jetliner full of passengers, me or a controller only interested in flow control. Maybe center needs to get their aircraft together and consider the real world.
