Narrative:

Reviewed pre departure clearance at las and noted 'cleared as filed las MEAD8....' did not notice the 'turn right heading 060 degree line' which is 4 lines removed from the routine block. Took off on runway 1R and flew departure as published. Passing 4000 ft, turned toward bld. An alert departure controller noted our turn and corrected us back to a 060 degree heading. No conflicts existed. Suggest that a 'cleared as filed' routing be amended only by voice, ie, 'cleared for takeoff, turn right heading 060 degrees for vectors to the mead 8 departure.' if an exception to the clearance must be issued on the pre departure clearance, it should be in the 'routine' grouping.

Title: ACR FLC TURNS TO SID HDG INSTEAD OF ASSIGNED HDG FROM PRE DEP CLRNC.

Narrative: REVIEWED PRE DEP CLRNC AT LAS AND NOTED 'CLRED AS FILED LAS MEAD8....' DID NOT NOTICE THE 'TURN R HDG 060 DEG LINE' WHICH IS 4 LINES REMOVED FROM THE ROUTINE BLOCK. TOOK OFF ON RWY 1R AND FLEW DEP AS PUBLISHED. PASSING 4000 FT, TURNED TOWARD BLD. AN ALERT DEP CTLR NOTED OUR TURN AND CORRECTED US BACK TO A 060 DEG HDG. NO CONFLICTS EXISTED. SUGGEST THAT A 'CLRED AS FILED' ROUTING BE AMENDED ONLY BY VOICE, IE, 'CLRED FOR TKOF, TURN R HDG 060 DEGS FOR VECTORS TO THE MEAD 8 DEP.' IF AN EXCEPTION TO THE CLRNC MUST BE ISSUED ON THE PRE DEP CLRNC, IT SHOULD BE IN THE 'ROUTINE' GROUPING.
