Narrative:

I received a full briefing from miv FSS to include fdc NOTAM 2/6590. I plotted the prohibited airspace and planned a route to avoid it. When I read the newspaper the next morning, I saw where the president spent the night, 10 mi from the coordinates given in the NOTAM. I flew over the hotel twice in 25 mins. Obviously, I did not violate the published airspace, but my life could be made miserable. In previous presidential NOTAMS I have seen the name of the facility an/or town the president is visiting, i.e., waldorf hotel, included with the usual radial and distance from a VOR. Had this information been included, I would have seen that the coordinates and facility were different and asked questions. If no answers were available I would avoid both areas. I recommend that the federal government give both coordinates and facility name/town in all prohibited airspace NOTAMS. This would help an innocent crew from getting unwanted federal attention.

Narrative: I RECEIVED A FULL BRIEFING FROM MIV FSS TO INCLUDE FDC NOTAM 2/6590. I PLOTTED THE PROHIBITED AIRSPACE AND PLANNED A RTE TO AVOID IT. WHEN I READ THE NEWSPAPER THE NEXT MORNING, I SAW WHERE THE PRESIDENT SPENT THE NIGHT, 10 MI FROM THE COORDINATES GIVEN IN THE NOTAM. I FLEW OVER THE HOTEL TWICE IN 25 MINS. OBVIOUSLY, I DID NOT VIOLATE THE PUBLISHED AIRSPACE, BUT MY LIFE COULD BE MADE MISERABLE. IN PREVIOUS PRESIDENTIAL NOTAMS I HAVE SEEN THE NAME OF THE FACILITY AN/OR TOWN THE PRESIDENT IS VISITING, I.E., WALDORF HOTEL, INCLUDED WITH THE USUAL RADIAL AND DISTANCE FROM A VOR.
