Narrative:

Taxied from lga gate X and held short of runway 22 (active for landing aircraft) on P taxiway. Received clearance to cross runway 22 after holding short for several mins. Repeated clearance to cross runway 22. Since the medium large transport engines are fairly slow to spool from idle thrust, ground control changed their mind and told us to hold our position, and we complied. However, this put our nose over the 'hold line' by about 5 ft. We then told ground control that our nose was hanging out over the edge of the 'hold line' 3 times. They would not acknowledge. A small bizjet landed about 2 mins later. I do not feel safety was compromised because hold line is a lot further displaced than normal at lga and landing aircraft was small. However, ground control should acknowledge our xmissions and act.

Title: AN ACR MLG MADE AN INCURSION ONTO THE ACTIVE RWY.

Narrative: TAXIED FROM LGA GATE X AND HELD SHORT OF RWY 22 (ACTIVE FOR LNDG ACFT) ON P TAXIWAY. RECEIVED CLRNC TO CROSS RWY 22 AFTER HOLDING SHORT FOR SEVERAL MINS. REPEATED CLRNC TO CROSS RWY 22. SINCE THE MLG ENGS ARE FAIRLY SLOW TO SPOOL FROM IDLE THRUST, GND CTL CHANGED THEIR MIND AND TOLD US TO HOLD OUR POS, AND WE COMPLIED. HOWEVER, THIS PUT OUR NOSE OVER THE 'HOLD LINE' BY ABOUT 5 FT. WE THEN TOLD GND CTL THAT OUR NOSE WAS HANGING OUT OVER THE EDGE OF THE 'HOLD LINE' 3 TIMES. THEY WOULD NOT ACKNOWLEDGE. A SMALL BIZJET LANDED ABOUT 2 MINS LATER. I DO NOT FEEL SAFETY WAS COMPROMISED BECAUSE HOLD LINE IS A LOT FURTHER DISPLACED THAN NORMAL AT LGA AND LNDG ACFT WAS SMALL. HOWEVER, GND CTL SHOULD ACKNOWLEDGE OUR XMISSIONS AND ACT.
