Narrative:

While taxiing in to drop off passenger we were on taxiway 'C' at mkl. There was a truck parked on the side of the taxiway. He had something to do with an air show scheduled for the following day. The driver had no radio and was walking away from the truck with no way to communicate, and the fact that taxiway 'C' was the only taxiway open to the ramp due to airport construction, we elected to taxi around the truck. As the aircraft's right tire got too close to the edge of the taxiway, the asphalt gave way and the aircraft tire slipped off the taxiway onto the grass. Because of the heavy rains the night before, the tire sank and we were stuck.
