Narrative:

We received clearance to pushback at gate. After we started our push the medium large transport Y at other gate started their push. At the completion of both pushes 2 passenger stated the wing of the other medium large transport Y was behind ours. We felt nothing. Afterwards, the captain of the other medium large transport Y said when they finished their push their nose was 20 degrees off the lead- in line. The guideman directed us to taxi. During taxi, ramp called us and said 'maintenance needs to inspect your wing, the other medium large transport Y may have hit your wing during push.' maintenance discovered the other medium large transport Y wing went over ours and scraped it. We returned to a gate. 2 planes should not be pushing at the same time next to each other. Because the other medium large transport Y was not pushed straight back, it hit our plane.

Title: MULTIPLE WING TIP STRIKES ON TWO ACR MLGS DURING RAMP OP PUSHBACK.

Narrative: WE RECEIVED CLRNC TO PUSHBACK AT GATE. AFTER WE STARTED OUR PUSH THE MLG Y AT OTHER GATE STARTED THEIR PUSH. AT THE COMPLETION OF BOTH PUSHES 2 PAX STATED THE WING OF THE OTHER MLG Y WAS BEHIND OURS. WE FELT NOTHING. AFTERWARDS, THE CAPT OF THE OTHER MLG Y SAID WHEN THEY FINISHED THEIR PUSH THEIR NOSE WAS 20 DEGS OFF THE LEAD- IN LINE. THE GUIDEMAN DIRECTED US TO TAXI. DURING TAXI, RAMP CALLED US AND SAID 'MAINT NEEDS TO INSPECT YOUR WING, THE OTHER MLG Y MAY HAVE HIT YOUR WING DURING PUSH.' MAINT DISCOVERED THE OTHER MLG Y WING WENT OVER OURS AND SCRAPED IT. WE RETURNED TO A GATE. 2 PLANES SHOULD NOT BE PUSHING AT THE SAME TIME NEXT TO EACH OTHER. BECAUSE THE OTHER MLG Y WAS NOT PUSHED STRAIGHT BACK, IT HIT OUR PLANE.
