Narrative:

While on ILS 12R hou a single engine small aircraft Y is landing on 12L which is 900 ft lateral separation. Our altitude was about 500 ft when a TCASII TA followed instantaneously by RA commanding 'climb' of 2000 FPM. We made a go around and finally got a visual on small aircraft during go around. Approach control did not mention the traffic, neither did the tower. If we had known perhaps we could have found the traffic. The visibility was poor due to haze. 900 ft is too close for parallel traffic as far as TCASII is concerned.
