Narrative:

Departed orange county airport IFR with 5 hours fuel on board en route to atl. Tanks were topped off 15 mins prior to flight. 4 hours after departure, fuel was exhausted. Reported to center, they vectored us to rutherford, 6 mi from incident where we landed safely. Tanks were topped off and trip continued following day. The controller at greer was responsible for us making a safe landing without incident and should be commended. This aircraft holds 136 gallons of fuel. When it was topped off at rutherford, it took 117 gallons of fuel.

Title: AN SMA TWIN LANDED ON AN ENRTE ARPT AFTER FUEL EXHAUSTION. HIS LNDG WAS ASSISTED BY GSP APCH CTL.

Narrative: DEPARTED ORANGE COUNTY ARPT IFR WITH 5 HRS FUEL ON BOARD ENRTE TO ATL. TANKS WERE TOPPED OFF 15 MINS PRIOR TO FLT. 4 HRS AFTER DEP, FUEL WAS EXHAUSTED. RPTED TO CTR, THEY VECTORED US TO RUTHERFORD, 6 MI FROM INCIDENT WHERE WE LANDED SAFELY. TANKS WERE TOPPED OFF AND TRIP CONTINUED FOLLOWING DAY. THE CTLR AT GREER WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR US MAKING A SAFE LNDG WITHOUT INCIDENT AND SHOULD BE COMMENDED. THIS ACFT HOLDS 136 GALLONS OF FUEL. WHEN IT WAS TOPPED OFF AT RUTHERFORD, IT TOOK 117 GALLONS OF FUEL.
