Narrative:

Picked up aircraft in tampa to start trip. Discovered nose tire with cord showing. After coordinating with maintenance control, obtained a and P sign-off to ferry to maintenance base. During takeoff roll, noticed #2 engine slow to accelerate. After arriving at base, and reviewing maintenance log, noticed that 5 days earlier, a pilot had entered a reference to an aborted takeoff where the engine egt exceeded acceptable limits. (Per afm 'remove engine,' was dictated). The mechanics had closed the entry by changing some parts, made adjustments and 'operations checks good' type of entry. After bringing this to maintenance's attention, I was assigned another aircraft and sent on my trip.

Title: COMMUTER FERRY FLT NOTICES SLOW ACCELERATION ON #2 ENG ON TKOF ROLL. LOGBOOKS INDICATE ENG CHANGE REQUIRED DUE HIGH TEMPS ON ABORTED TKOF. SOME MINOR ADJUSTMENTS MADE AND SIGNED-OFF WITHOUT ENG CHANGE.

Narrative: PICKED UP ACFT IN TAMPA TO START TRIP. DISCOVERED NOSE TIRE WITH CORD SHOWING. AFTER COORDINATING WITH MAINT CTL, OBTAINED A AND P SIGN-OFF TO FERRY TO MAINT BASE. DURING TKOF ROLL, NOTICED #2 ENG SLOW TO ACCELERATE. AFTER ARRIVING AT BASE, AND REVIEWING MAINT LOG, NOTICED THAT 5 DAYS EARLIER, A PLT HAD ENTERED A REF TO AN ABORTED TKOF WHERE THE ENG EGT EXCEEDED ACCEPTABLE LIMITS. (PER AFM 'REMOVE ENG,' WAS DICTATED). THE MECHS HAD CLOSED THE ENTRY BY CHANGING SOME PARTS, MADE ADJUSTMENTS AND 'OPS CHKS GOOD' TYPE OF ENTRY. AFTER BRINGING THIS TO MAINT'S ATTN, I WAS ASSIGNED ANOTHER ACFT AND SENT ON MY TRIP.
