Narrative:

Landing runway 21 wind reported 220 at 14 KTS gusting to 22. Aircraft struck hard and bounced then landed hard on nose gear. Unable to control as aircraft veered left off runway. No injuries to passenger. Right main gear collapsed and significant damage to right wing. Contributing factors: low time pilot, gusting winds, steep approach, lack of proficiency in recovering from bad lndgs. Preventing a recurrence would be helped by doing more lndgs in adverse conditions with an instructor.
