Narrative:

I was first officer on flight a from myr to rdu. As the aircraft was being taxied onto the ramp, I noticed several linemen standing about in front of the terminal and a single lineman pointing to where we should park. The spot was next to and to the right of another mdt. There were no wingwalkers. At some point in our taxi, a second lineman, without wands, appeared in front of us. At about the same instant, I noticed the lineman in front of us cross his arms. I told the captain he wanted us to stop, and the aircraft stopped. Only after the captain told me that our left wingtip had struck the right wingtip of the other aircraft did I know we had done so. The situation was complicated by confusing taxi lines on the ramp. This whole thing would have been avoided if we had stopped and demanded wing walkers.
