Narrative:

On VFR flight casper, wy, to hdn through VFR/marginal VFR, had briefing at casper with NOTAM 'displaced threshold hdn runway 10 4400 ft' or at least heard it that way because when left hdn had definite NOTAM 'displaced threshold runway 10 4400 ft with men and equipment.' so made intersection takeoff on 10. West end was blocked off. On return with casper briefing reference displaced threshold and with wind from west flew normal left pattern to land hdn 28. With poor light did not notice anything amiss on downwind and made normal landing on 28. During taxi to turnoff, rolled over temporary threshold marker on 28! No men or equipment on runway but some to north on new taxiway. Had unicom contact for airport advisory with no mention of threshold either runway. No harm to anyone/anything this time, but either wrong NOTAM or misheard because of brief and fatigue at casper. In any case, approach end of temporary displaced threshold should have indicator over/near numbers especially when displaced over 1000 ft. They can be hard to see far away in poor light. Also, we have had outdated NOTAMS before!

Title: SMA PLT LANDS ON TEMPORARY DISPLACED THRESHOLD. MEN AND EQUIP NEARBY.

Narrative: ON VFR FLT CASPER, WY, TO HDN THROUGH VFR/MARGINAL VFR, HAD BRIEFING AT CASPER WITH NOTAM 'DISPLACED THRESHOLD HDN RWY 10 4400 FT' OR AT LEAST HEARD IT THAT WAY BECAUSE WHEN LEFT HDN HAD DEFINITE NOTAM 'DISPLACED THRESHOLD RWY 10 4400 FT WITH MEN AND EQUIP.' SO MADE INTXN TKOF ON 10. W END WAS BLOCKED OFF. ON RETURN WITH CASPER BRIEFING REF DISPLACED THRESHOLD AND WITH WIND FROM W FLEW NORMAL L PATTERN TO LAND HDN 28. WITH POOR LIGHT DID NOT NOTICE ANYTHING AMISS ON DOWNWIND AND MADE NORMAL LNDG ON 28. DURING TAXI TO TURNOFF, ROLLED OVER TEMPORARY THRESHOLD MARKER ON 28! NO MEN OR EQUIP ON RWY BUT SOME TO N ON NEW TAXIWAY. HAD UNICOM CONTACT FOR ARPT ADVISORY WITH NO MENTION OF THRESHOLD EITHER RWY. NO HARM TO ANYONE/ANYTHING THIS TIME, BUT EITHER WRONG NOTAM OR MISHEARD BECAUSE OF BRIEF AND FATIGUE AT CASPER. IN ANY CASE, APCH END OF TEMPORARY DISPLACED THRESHOLD SHOULD HAVE INDICATOR OVER/NEAR NUMBERS ESPECIALLY WHEN DISPLACED OVER 1000 FT. THEY CAN BE HARD TO SEE FAR AWAY IN POOR LIGHT. ALSO, WE HAVE HAD OUTDATED NOTAMS BEFORE!
