Narrative:
While taxiing for takeoff (taxi instructions -- taxi to 35) at oma, I had difficulty identing taxiways (i.e., a, B, G, etc.). Many ramps and taxiways are under construction. Upon arriving at vicinity of taxiway D, east, and T (see airport diagram) I read a sign stating: '32L and 35' (with arrow pointing toward 2 O'clock direction). I turned on the taxiway indicated believing it to be taxiway east. My plan was to take east to F. While taxiing (actually on D), I inadvertently taxied onto runway 35. At first, I believed the runway to be taxiway F, but soon realized my error. I immediately returned to taxiway D and asked ground control for assistance. There were no aircraft using 35 at the time, however, a dangerous situation could have developed. I believe the oma airport needs signage identing taxiway intxns.

Title: GA PLT OF SMT ACFT INADVERTENTLY TAXIED ONTO A RWY AFTER MISIDENTING A TAXIWAY DUE TO THE LABELING OF AN ARPT INFO SIGN RESULTING IN NO CONFLICT.
Narrative: WHILE TAXIING FOR TKOF (TAXI INSTRUCTIONS -- TAXI TO 35) AT OMA, I HAD DIFFICULTY IDENTING TAXIWAYS (I.E., A, B, G, ETC.). MANY RAMPS AND TAXIWAYS ARE UNDER CONSTRUCTION. UPON ARRIVING AT VICINITY OF TAXIWAY D, E, AND T (SEE ARPT DIAGRAM) I READ A SIGN STATING: '32L AND 35' (WITH ARROW POINTING TOWARD 2 O'CLOCK DIRECTION). I TURNED ON THE TAXIWAY INDICATED BELIEVING IT TO BE TAXIWAY E. MY PLAN WAS TO TAKE E TO F. WHILE TAXIING (ACTUALLY ON D), I INADVERTENTLY TAXIED ONTO RWY 35. AT FIRST, I BELIEVED THE RWY TO BE TAXIWAY F, BUT SOON REALIZED MY ERROR. I IMMEDIATELY RETURNED TO TAXIWAY D AND ASKED GND CTL FOR ASSISTANCE. THERE WERE NO ACFT USING 35 AT THE TIME, HOWEVER, A DANGEROUS SITUATION COULD HAVE DEVELOPED. I BELIEVE THE OMA ARPT NEEDS SIGNAGE IDENTING TAXIWAY INTXNS.
