Narrative:

I had been on duty for over 11 hours and was flying direct from temple VOR to sat VOR under my own navigation. I fell asleep for no more than a few moments as estimated by another pilot listening on same frequency. Austin approach saw me change heading from 210 degrees to 300 degrees and he asked my intentions. I immediately corrected my heading and proceeded direct to sat VOR. Contributing factor was exhaustion from flying all night and having been on duty for so long. There is a need for length of duty time of single pilot night cargo pilots.
