Narrative:

During VFR military training flight, aircraft spilled out of gabbs north MOA to the north. Aircraft was VFR below 18000 ft and was responsible for separation. No conflicts, but front seat pilot did not have guard frequency turned up. Reception of guard radio calls would have helped minimize spillout. Aircraft guarding TACAN only and radio too low for reception. Recommendations: better geographical reference and monitor guard frequency at all times. Stay in MOA.
